Barb Finelli is a multimedia artist currently working in watercolor, oils, painting on silk, and pastels. Barb’s representational images glow as a result of her unique pallet and attention to detail. Her favorite subjects include the flora and fauna of her two homes of Hawaii and New Mexico, but she also enjoys painting more abstract images of still lifes and landscapes. Barb is the Artist in Residence at the Sheraton Keauhou Bay in Hawaii where she demonstrates her art and teaches art classes. She markets her art at the various festivals held on the plaza in Santa Fe, NM. Her works hang in private collections around the world and she is currently represented by the Kamuela Gallery Collection in Kailua Kona, Hawaii and by the Gifted Hands Gallery in Madrid, New Mexico. Her work has won numerous awards and has been chosen for cover images on a variety of publications in Hawaii. Barb has been painting for over 20 years, with her early instruction through the Denver Students’ Art league and Bob and Carol Rogers” Kona Art Center in Hawaii. "Sunrise at the Sheraton" is a pastel showing the sea walk at the new Sheraton Hotel, located in Keauhou, Hawaii. Barb is the artist in residence at the Sheraton and can usually be found there Thursday mornings, by the pool, demonstrating her talents.
