Offering Fine Art in Oils, Pastels, Watercolors, and Painting on Silk by Barb Finelli

The Big Island of Hawaii and the American Southwest offer views of paradise seen few other places in the world. From the snow-covered heights of Mauna Kea to the pristine aqua of the Pacific Ocean, Hawaii has a bit of everything to inspire the artist. In the south, Madame Pele continues to spew forth lava from the Kilauea volcano, while along the Hilo coast, waterfalls rumble though deep valleys. In the north, Waip'io Valley cuts though the coastline to form one of the most fertile areas in the Pacific. On the slopes of Mauna Kea, the huge Parker Ranch continues to raise prized steers. The sandy beaches along the Kona Coast have been acknowledged as some of the best in the world. Jeep trails can take the adventurous to isolated pocket beaches where dolphins, turtles, and humpback whales play in the warm Hawaiian waters.
In the Southwest, cacti, purple mountains, wild flowers, adobe structures, and a variety of critters make this desert area come alive throughout the year. Santa Fe, Tucson, and all the little towns in between offer unique and interesting opportunities for the artist. It is this environment which inspires Arts in Paradise.
